Two physics professors receive teaching awards from students

Assistant Professor Jorge Piekarewicz and Professor Paul Cottle received University Teaching Awards at the university's faculty awards ceremony April 9. Both professors were particularly cited for their work in introductory physics classes.

Nominations for University Teaching Awards are made by students. Piekarewicz was nominated by students from his introductory astronomy classes, while Cottle's College Physics students nominated him.
