Dr. Paul M. Eugenio
Associate Professor of Physics
Ph.D., University of Massachusetts, Amherst,(1998)
Dr. Paul Eugenio is an Experimental Nuclear Particle Physicist at Florida State University. His current research is devoted to the search for new phenomena in Nuclear Physics such as hunting for new, exotic, and unusual particles. These particles, which according to our present understanding of nature, should exist but have so far eluded our detection.
Dr. Eugenio has experience in high performance computing, and he is an advocate for modern programming techniques. He is currently involved in developing a computer simulation framework and data analysis tools for an effort to build a state-of-the-art 40 million dollar detector (Hall D) at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility in Newport News, VA.
