Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
Research opportunities are available at numerous universities, national laboratories and institutions throughout Florida and Nationwide. Undergraduate research is a great introduction to the world of scientific research, far beyond that of undergrad lab classes, in cutting edge technologies in some of the world's leading research groups - not to mention a huge boost to your resume! Typically running between 8 and 10 weeks over the summer, most REU programs provide a stipend, travel costs and accommodation (check for details and contact the appropriate program coordinator for more information). See also the National Science Foundation REU page.
