Homework Solutions
This page provides links to solutions to the weekly assignments. Each solution page consists of a chapter summary, and the solutions for the week's assignment. I hope you try doing the problems first before clicking the solution page. Even if you just take a "peek" at my solution before attempting to do the problem yourself, you defeated the purpose of the assignment. To access the solutions you can either click on the chapter button or the chapter title.
The homework solutions contain Greek characters. On some older browsers the characters will not display properly on the screen or print properly on your printer. (You need Netscape version 3.0 or later for the Greek symbols to display properly.) As a test, if you see Greek characters on the line below, then your browser supports the symbol typeface.

The homework solutions also contain codes to display special characters such as degree, multiplication sign etc. Again, if you have an older version of Netscape or if your browser is not configured properly, the signs will not be displayed correctly. Click here for a list of codes.
The homework solutions are posted in html and PDF format. The PDF format removes the problem with Greek symbols and other mathematical symbols that is present for some computers. To load and print in PDF format, click on PDF format next to the Chapter title. If you do not have a copy of the Acrobat reader, you can download a copy free of charge from the Adobe web site.
