Graduate Study at FSU Physics

The FSU Physics Department offers graduate programs leading to the PhD and Ms degree in cutting-edge areas of theoretical, computational and experimental physics.

The department houses 40 teaching faculty members, 20 associated Ph.D. physicists, 115 graduate students, and 40 technical/support staff. FSU is home to the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, the only facility of its kind in the USA.

Through numerous research partnerships faculty members participate in research at National and International Labs such as Argonne, Brookhaven, Oak Ridge, Fermilab, CERN and more.

Student stipends and teaching assistantships are available.

Dedicated graduate housing is available including family accommodation.
